At Mackenzie Abortion Clinic, we believe all women are free to make their own choices about their own lives, bodies and family needs. Our clinic supports reproductive choice and freedom. We are about the well being of women and offer safe, legal and same day abortion services and a variety of women’s health services including treatment of pelvic pain, painful sex, fibroid and heavy periods.

We also sell and deliver abortion pills to clients who are distant from our clinics or to those who wish to undertake the termination process in the comfort of their homes. We deliver sensitive and compassionate care to all our patients in a safe and friendly environment where your confidentiality is assured. At the Women’s Clinic we are especially attuned to giving women the utmost support required at this difficult time.

It is often a difficult and emotional decision to have a termination of pregnancy. Your personal circumstances will probably be a factor in your decision. You’re bound to have a range of feelings, from sadness, confusion, fear, loss, anger or relief but if you have already decided to have an abortion, be assured that you are not alone. Our team is selected with the criteria of empathy in mind, and being highly qualified professionals, you are guaranteed exemplary services and compassionate support in this matter.
Before the abortion

When you go for your first appointment, you should be given the opportunity to talk about your situation (if you want to). You will be informed about the different methods of abortion, and which method is suitable for your stage of pregnancy. You will also be advised about any related risks and complications.

The doctor or nurse will take your medical history to make sure the type of abortion you are offered is suitable for you. You will have a blood test to check your blood group and to see if you are anaemic (have a reduced number of red blood cells).
Safety

In order to ensure your safety, physicians are state licensed, board eligible and/or board certified obstetricians and gynecologists who are highly trained and have extensive experience performing abortions. This expertise minimizes the risks involved in an abortion. Their personal dedication to abortion services continues to ensure that women maintain the right and the opportunity to choose to have an abortion.

Confidentiality
Our physician members all respect the confidentiality of all patient interactions. If you choose to include your spouse, partner, parent, other family member, or friend in your visit to our office, we will welcome their participation and address any concerns that they may have. If you choose to maintain strict confidentiality, we will support you in this decision.
